About SAT

The SAT (Scholastic Assessment Test) is a standardized exam used for college admissions, primarily in the United States. It assesses students’ skills in reading, writing, and math, with an optional essay section. The test is scored on a scale of 400 to 1600. It is administered by the College Board and is widely accepted by universities and colleges worldwide. The SAT is conducted multiple times a year, and students can take it in person at designated testing centers. Many colleges consider SAT scores alongside high school grades and extracurricular activities in admissions decisions.

Digital SAT
Starting in 2024, the SAT is primarily offered in a digital format at designated test centers worldwide. Students take the test on a computer or tablet provided at the center, with adaptive questioning and a shorter duration (about 2 hours and 14 minutes)
Paper-Based SAT (Discontinued)
The traditional paper-and-pencil version was phased out in most locations after 2023. However, some exceptions may apply for specific accommodations.
